Progress Made in Debugging of Model Active Vibration Damping System for 0.6m×0.6m Blow-Down Transonic & Supersonic Wind Tunnel

Recently, further progress was made in the debugging of a model active vibration damping system in the 0.6×0.6m Blow-Down Transonic and Supersonic wind tunnel at HSAI. The research team had designed multiple ground testing methods to learn the key factors which may influence the damping effect, such as piezoelectric stack performance, damping joint force transmission capacity and power amplifier dynamic characteristics. Wind tunnel test results indicated a 60% maximum damping amplitude for a new standard model with the introduction of the vibration control system.
